We built one thing and built it carefully: a cognitive assessment you can take in minutes, scored on a scale that has been in use for a century, with its limits stated out loud.
Why this test exists
Very few people ever see a proper measurement of their own reasoning. A clinical assessment costs real money, takes hours, and needs an appointment. The Official IQ Test takes the frameworks behind those assessments and rebuilds them for a browser, so the measurement fits into a coffee break. No lab, no clipboard, no waiting room.
The tasks themselves are not new, and that is the point. Logical reasoning, verbal ability, spatial thinking, memory, and pattern recognition have been studied and refined by psychologists for decades. What we add is a version that reads clearly, scores the same way for everyone, and explains what it just did.

IQ norm, mean and SD
How the tests are built
Some of our tests carry names you will recognise, and each name describes a method rather than a partnership. One follows the Stanford-Binet scale. One uses progressive matrices, the format behind Mensa-style admission testing. Our WAIS-style test borrows the Wechsler four-index structure, and our CHC variant follows Cattell-Horn-Carroll theory. These are open conventions, taught everywhere. The people and institutions behind them have not reviewed us, endorsed us, or licensed anything to us.
IQ is only one measurement. An ADHD screener sits beside a growing shelf of personality and wellbeing assessments: burnout, EQ, attachment style, Dark Triad, Big Five, and more keep arriving. Each borrows its structure from a recognised framework in its own field, and each is made for curiosity and self-insight rather than for diagnosis.
Brain training follows the same rule. The n-back task, the Stroop effect, dual-task exercises: standard cognitive-science material, rebuilt into sessions short enough that people finish them.

The Official IQ Test is an online cognitive-assessment platform and a tradename of The Sales Factory B.V., a Dutch company based in Heemstede, Netherlands. Scores are computed on our servers and normed to a mean of 100 with a standard deviation of 15.
